Science 11/30

Welcome Back!  Today is the start of Trimester 2 and we have hit the ground running.  Students were given back their first grade for the second trimester today when "Midsummative 7" was returned to them.  Students are highly encouraged to make corrections on the quiz!   **Students can use this link for the requiz** after corrections are made.

Science Fair

Students should use the Thanksgiving Break to research about their science fair topic and to develop either: 1) a testable question (experimenting) or 2) a problem statement (engineering).  They can use the "Copy of 1What Makes a Good Question or Problem" sheet in their google classroom documents for science to help them.

Science

Students in House A will have a quiz this week (Thursday or Friday) before the Thanksgiving break.  The quiz will discuss kinetic energy and how matter can change phase from a solid, liquid and a gas if enough heat is added or removed.  Students should spend 15-20 minutes each evening looking over their notes to prepare for the quiz.  Reviewing the assignments below will help prepare for the quiz.

Students should consider making an appointment with me if they would like some guidance for their study efforts.

Students are expected to study their two older Annotation, Summary/ Evidence quizzes in preparation for a quiz tomorrow.   Study tools have been provided and practiced in class.

Also NEWSELA has been extended through Saturday as there have been misunderstandings logging in.
